Joe T Garcias Fort Worth Wedding Reception – DJ Glenn Roush

Shawn and Chris were married at Marty Leonard Chapel and then took a short drive over to Joe T Garcias Restaurant for the reception and celebration.  Chris is a wedding videographer and Shawn is a  wedding photographer, and seeing as they know a lot of Fort Worth Wedding DJs it was even more of an honor to be asked to be their DJ & MC.  The weather was perfect – warm enough to be outside sipping a margarita but cool enough to really go crazy on the dance floor.  Special thanks to When It Clicks Wedding Films for allowing me to share this video.  I will get photos from Lauren Ashley up in the next couple of days.

Gangnam Style Party at CityPlace Dallas

One more from Ammi and Peter’s wedding (atleast until the photographer and videographer post some of their stuff).  Ammi’s family is originally from Korea so Gangnam Style was not just an internet sensation, but a must play at her wedding.  Their friends and family KNEW the dance.  Here is a short snippet of the fun we had at CityPlace.

Who says you cannot have Catwoman and Batman as your cake toppers?  Not Ammi and Peter!  Here was the cake from Saturday’s wedding at CityPlace Dallas.  You can see a little of the view in the background.

Destination Venice

Jen and I took a trip took a bucket list trip in July. We spent 10 days traveling through Italy. Our first stop was Venice.

Let me know if you have any questions about visiting Venice.

It surprises me how willing people were to have the pigeons on them.  They are basically rats with wings.

St. Marks Square at High Tide in Venice Italy

Here is a smaller pic I snagged on my iphone.  The last night we were there was a full moon and also high tide, so the water seeped up through the soil and stone to create a 6 inch deep lake in Saint Mark’s square.

Tiny European Shower

Here is the first tiny shower of our trip.  Note that I am 5’9″ and about 170 pounds.  The shower caddy is against my back and the door is where my hands are touching.  I could do a full 360 but I had to tuck my arms and shoulders in like I was a gymnast trying to do a full twist.

Mansion on Turtle Creek Wedding Precessional

I love when my client’s leave their own personal touches on their wedding…even when it is anything but traditional.  Angeline and Jacob hosted their ceremony and reception at the Mansion on Turtle Creek, but just because they chose a historic (and gorgeous) hotel did not mean that Angeline could not put her own spin on the night.

Once the ceremony started, the parents were seated to Jesu, Joy of Man’s Desire, followed by the bridesmaids walking down the aisle to Canon in D.  Finally when it was time for Angeline’s father to walk her down the aisle, Gyros String Quartet of Dallas played TI’s Whatever You Like and I had my iphone ready.

Gyros did a fantastic job of taking a modern rap song and making it sound great in a string version.  My favorite part is when Jacob & Angeline’s friends figure out the song about 8 seconds into the video and you can hear the laughter.  Special thanks to Jaime Jones at Bella Flora and Emily Hess at the Mansion for making the night wonderful for all of the guests and vendors.

Ashton Depot Wedding Reception Video – Jessica & Brian

Last week I posted pics from Jessica & Brian’s wedding reception at the Ashton Depot in downtown Fort Worth.  If you missed the photos that Brant Smith Photography posted, be sure to check those out here.  Special thanks to Candelight Films for sharing another fabulous video with me.  Lauren and Clint at Candlelight are on the very short list of videographers that I refer.  Their work is spectacular and they are a fun husband and wife team who really work to get to know their client.  To see other weddings I have worked with Candlelight, click here.

This is them right after becoming husband and wife (probably my favorite shot).

The wedding party came in full of energy. Andrew surprised us all by carrying her in at the last second.

Mr. & Mrs. Forney had a choreographed dance to “More than Anyone” by Gavin DeGraw. Kayla is laughing because Andrew may or may not have missed a step (or three).

The party started early and it started strong. The groomsmen decided to do a little impromptu “Night at the Roxbury” sandwich.

City Club Fort Worth Wedding – Kirsten & Ryan

Kirsten and Ryan celebrated their ceremony and reception at the beautiful Fort Worth City Club.  My team and I had the privilege of working with an all star team of vendors.  Tami Winn and her planning team and floral team made the room beautiful and the night flow so smoothly.  Tracy Autem and her photography team were having fun while capturing the memories for Mr. & Mrs. Hood.  Last but not least, Daniel Troupe with Lynn Films was capturing the video to document all of the fun that was being had throughout the City Club.  Special thanks to Daniel for sharing this preview video.

I cannot wait to do a follow up post with Tracy’s photos and the extended cut of Daniel’s film.

Union Station Wedding Reception Highlight – Colleen & Byron

A few weeks ago we shared the video from Colleen & Byron’s incredible introductions where the wedding party pulled off a choreographed dance to kick off the night. Their wedding highlight video is ready to be shared and show off how much fun we had celebrating. Special thanks to Mark Owen for sharing the video.

Shout out to Holly Tripp Event Design for putting together this amazing team of vendors and for making my life easier. If you like the flowers, which why wouldn’t you, check out The Wildflower. I will post Sil Azevedo’s photos this week!
