McKinney Cotton Mill Highlight Video

When Meredith at Significant Events of Texas called to tell me she had the perfect couple for me, little did I know I would be meeting one of my favorite couples of 2012. Erica and Taslow are Oklahoma State alumni who are both die hard Cowboys (OSU that is) and wanted to party with their closest family and friends.  The McKinney Cotton Mill was basically a destination wedding for the family and friends.  We worked together to create a starting line up introduction that was personal and reflected the sports nuts who got married. Marc Roberts was kind enough to put together this little highlight video for me.

Gangnam Style Party at CityPlace Dallas

One more from Ammi and Peter’s wedding (atleast until the photographer and videographer post some of their stuff).  Ammi’s family is originally from Korea so Gangnam Style was not just an internet sensation, but a must play at her wedding.  Their friends and family KNEW the dance.  Here is a short snippet of the fun we had at CityPlace.

Who says you cannot have Catwoman and Batman as your cake toppers?  Not Ammi and Peter!  Here was the cake from Saturday’s wedding at CityPlace Dallas.  You can see a little of the view in the background.

Dallas Wedding at Hickory Street Annex

David & Amy celebrated their wedding and reception at Hickory Street Annex.  Soulbox Productions shot the entire evening on 8mm film (real film) and the result is this amazingly different documentary of the Fenn’s wedding.  Flipbooks, Fancy Cakes by Lauren, Love Notes Officiants, and Amy Herfurth Photography rounded out this all star wedding team.

Hilton Bella Harbor Reception

I knew from the first meeting that Kelly and Ben’s wedding was going to be memorable.  The familes considered it a destination wedding because Dallas was only home to Kelly’s parents and a very small percentage of the guests.  Ben’s family was all over New England, his Marine buddies were all over the country, and Ben and Kelly had already spent time in Denver and Nashville.  The states were too numerous to list at the rehearsal dinner.

The Hilton Bella Harbor in Rockwall hosted this fun group who had never met a stranger in their lives.  The facility is incredible.  It is lakefront property so it has a fabulous view and is surrounded by shopping and entertainment, which allowed all of the out of towners to get by without a rental car.

Hilton Bella Harbor Amber Uplighting

My team added some champagne uplighting to bring the room to life.

Kelly’s family always cooks up surprises at family weddings.  For Kelly & Ben’s wedding, the surprise was for all of the guests to put on a clown nose (see photo #2) when we closed the doors for their introduction.  This was Kelly’s reaction as she walked into the room and saw 140 friends and family in clown noses.

Hilton Bella Harbor Wedding Reception Introductions

A rehearsed first dance that looked elegant but fun.  I loved how the family, Hilton staff, and Hannah from DFW Events worked to incorporate furniture around the dance floor to create lounge space around the dance floor, and it worked out perfectly for the wedding party to sit and enjoy the first dance.

Ben is very focused on cutting the cake.  Kelly is a little more relaxed.

Hilton Bella Harbor Wedding Cotton Eyed Joe

The Hilton Bella Harbor was kind enough to let us do a flutterfetti dance INSIDE of the ballroom.  This is something that can be added to weddings with the blessing of your catering manager (just don’t be surprised if there is a small charge for cleaning it up).

The evening was capped by a sparkler send off (and then everyone headed to the hotel bar).

Fort Worth Club Wedding Reception

Jadrien & McCall celebrated their TCU wedding in style at the Fort Worth City Club.  I posted a video of the dancing that we shot from behind the booth a few months back.  Having just graduated from TCU a few weeks before the wedding, our 18 member wedding party was full of Horned Frogs.  We provided the purple uplighting.  TCU was kind enough to allow Super Frog to pay us a visit and allow for a photo opportunity.

Turquoise Video Productions was kind enough to share this beautiful highlight of their ceremony and reception.

I had the privilege of working with the Wish Upon A Wedding Foundation. Wish Upon a Wedding is a nonprofit organization that provides weddings and vow renewals to couples facing terminal illness and serious life altering circumstances, regardless of sexual orientation.

Tiffany and Mark had only been dating about 4 months when she became very ill and was diagnosed with islet cell hyperplasia.  Over the past two years, Tiffany and Mark (and their combined 6 children) have had to go through a lot, but as you can see from the wonderful film Dulock Productions shared below the family is stronger and happy to have each moment together.  To learn more about Tiffany & Mark’s story, check out their love story.

Piazza in the Village Wedding Reception

Andrew and Kayla had a packed house at the Piazza In The Village for a FUN Thursday night wedding.  I loved this crowd because they didn’t let any work commitments or plans on Friday slow them down.

Thanks to Colleyville Wedding Photographer Erin Kathleen for these wonderful pics.  To see the rest of the album check out her full blog post here.

The wedding party came in full of energy.  Andrew surprised us all by carrying her in at the last second.

Mr. & Mrs. Forney had a choreographed dance to “More than Anyone” by Gavin DeGraw.  Kayla is laughing because Andrew may or may not have missed a step (or three).

The party started early and it started strong.  The groomsmen decided to do a little impromptu “Night at the Roxbury” sandwich.

Joule Hotel Wedding Reception

Earlier we posted pictures from Chad and Tara’s New Years Eve wedding ceremony at the gallery connected to the Joule Hotel in downtown Dallas.  Afterwards, they came back to the hotel ballroom to celebrate their love and ring in 2012.  This was the last wedding at the Joule before the space was closed for a major renovation that will see the hotel grow its meeting space significantly and add some spaces that are sure to change the landscape of Dallas weddings.

Chris at Ivey Photography was kind enough to share some images of the evening that really capture how fun, energetic, and beautiful this wedding was from top to bottom.  To see more photos from this wedding check out the Ivey Photography blog.

There was a ton of energy downtown already because of NYE.

Four Seasons Dallas Fun Wedding Reception

Jenn and Jordan hosted their reception in the pavilion of the beautiful Four Seasons Resort & Spa of Dallas.  Special thanks to Katy Taylor and all of the Four Seasons staff for being such amazing hosts . Katie Lamb and Jenn knew each other from Baylor, so Katie made the trip up from Houston.  To see more pics from this wedding, check out Katie’s blog.

Jordan and Jenn picked out custom songs for each couple, and the wedding party did not disappoint.  They had a blast and got everyone laughing (and cheering).

Stonegate Mansion Wedding Reception

Hiya! I’m Lynn from dallas. fort worth-based Lynn Michelle Photography and I am so happy to be a guest blogger for Glenn today!!

On a wedding day, I really believe that there is nothing more important than choosing a team of vendors that work extremely well together. I know Glenn’s style and I adore it – he is so invested in his clients that he is happy to touch base with me ahead of time to go over details and talk about any risks that may occur. Glenn and I wanted to make sure that Emily & Daniel’s guests were having a great time while we finished up some shots of the family after the ceremony at Marty Leonard Chapel. When we arrived at Stonegate Mansion, Glenn made the call that I still had time to get some lovely images of the couple together. Woo hoo! See why I adore him? More time for pictures without sacrificing the fun reception? Yes, please!

A perfectly lined up wedding party means lovely images during the first dance. I know, I’m just gushing about Glenn’s attention to detail.

Before I depart, I wanted to add a last notes. If you don’t believe that you can have a successful, fun wedding reception on a Sunday and without alcohol you haven’t found the right DJ. Glenn does it – time and time again – and the images above prove it.

Just a fan,
Lynn

Jenny & Joe’s Father Daughter Dance at Ridglea Country Club

Jenny’s husband Wallace is part of a barbershop chorus called The Marcsmen. During our planning meeting Wallace and Jenny told me that the guys wanted to sing during the reception, and I mentioned having them sing the father daughter dance…this is the result. Apologies that the tops of their heads are cut off but I had the camera stationary on a tripod set for the newlywed game. This is why Glenn Roush Entertainment doesn’t pretend to have a “video division!”

Lighting was provided by Glenn Roush Entertainment.
